About Dr. Stout
Born on a farm in Kansas, Chris earned his medical degree in 2003 from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After receiving his BS in Biology from Kansas State University, he completed his residency in General Surgery at Mercer University School of Medicine in the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon in 2008.
After residency, Dr. Stout completed a Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA, in 2010. Dr. Stout practiced as a Vascular Specialist and was a clinical professor of vascular surgery at EVMS for 6 years before relocating closer to home.
He practiced for 5 years in Springfield, MO, and advanced regional vascular care, including building a vascular program by hiring 3 new partners, teaching, and undertaking administrative roles as section chair.
Beyond practicing medicine, Chris has been able to maintain his research interests and is the primary investigator in pre-FDA approval phase 3 trials in addition to post-market trials, many of which have resulted in peer-reviewed publications.
A family man through and through, Chris has been married to his wife Angie for over 18 years and has 4 children, including a set of twins. Naturally, his home life tends to be as busy as his professional one.
His Time At the Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center
As a vascular surgeon, Dr. Stout has always made compassion, education, and service the cornerstone of practicing philosophy. Though he’s only worked with the Ozark Regional team since 2021, Dr. Stout has already brought remarkable innovations to the clinic and expanded their vascular care capabilities tenfold.
By working closely with Dr. Haney, Chris has introduced new treatments, care strategies, and technology to the clinic. His mission is to provide the highest quality care to his patients and ensure they live long, comfortable, healthy lives. That’s what makes him such a perfect fit here at the Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center.
