Preparation

After the initial evaluation, one of our providers will confirm that Excel® V in Rogers is the best option for you. The treatment area will be sanitized, making sure there are no oils, dirt, or bacteria.

Administering the Laser

Your laser provider will then start delivering the laser treatment to your skin. Based on the vein or skin concern, your provider may make several passes so your veins can fully absorb the special high-powered green laser. As the vein absorbs laser energy, the heat causes the vein walls to cave in and close.

Cool down

Due to the delivery of the laser, patients compare the feeling to a rubber band snap to the skin's surface. You can use a topical anesthetic to help manage any pain, but your provider will also apply a cooling tip immediately after your treatment for comfort and protection.
