Who We Are

Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center has been serving Northwest Arkansas since 2008 from our location at 5433 W. Walsh Lane in Rogers — just off exit 83 from I-49 in Pinnacle Point. We are a specialty vascular practice focused exclusively on the diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment of venous and arterial disease.

Our clinical team is led by Dr. Kevin Haney and Dr. Jackie Stout — two of the most experienced vascular specialists in the region, with a combined clinical team boasting over 600 years of specialized expertise in vein, artery, and interventional vascular care.

Dr. Stout holds a distinction that matters: she is the only board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon in Northwest Arkansas. Her specialty is limb salvage — helping patients with advanced peripheral arterial disease avoid amputation through expert surgical and endovascular intervention. This level of subspecialty expertise simply isn’t available anywhere else in this market.

Dr. Haney brings decades of experience in both venous disease and interventional radiology, with a particular passion for expanding the range of minimally invasive treatments available to patients in NWA — including emerging procedures like Genicular Artery Embolization for knee pain, Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, and Plantar Fasciitis Embolization that patients previously had to travel to major metropolitan centers to access.

Together, they’ve built a practice that offers the clinical depth and procedural breadth of an academic medical center — in a setting that’s personal, transparent, and close to home.

We give you costs before your treatment. Hidden fees are one of the most common and legitimate frustrations patients have with the healthcare system. We counter that directly by providing estimated costs before any procedure is scheduled. You know what you’re walking into.

We accept most major insurance. Vein and artery care shouldn’t be out of reach. We accept Medicare, Medicaid (AR), and a comprehensive list of major private insurers including Aetna, Anthem BCBS, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Tricare, and many others. When venous reflux is confirmed with varicose veins, most insurance companies cover treatment beyond your deductible and copays.

We offer financing. Through CareCredit and Compassionate Finance, patients have access to low monthly payment options for procedures not fully covered by insurance.

Bilingual. We have Spanish/English bilingual staff on site, ensuring that language is never a barrier to excellent vascular care for the significant Spanish-speaking community in NWA.

We treat the whole patient, not just the vein. Our Vein Treatments: A Comprehensive Approach to Venous Disease

Venous disease is far more common than most people realize — and far more treatable than most people assume. An estimated 30% or more of adults are affected by some form of chronic venous insufficiency or varicose veins, yet many continue to suffer unnecessarily, believing that living with the aching, heaviness, swelling, and visible bulging is simply the cost of getting older.

It isn’t. Here’s what we offer.

Varicose Vein Treatments

Varicose veins result from failed valves inside the leg veins that allow blood to pool backward — a condition called venous reflux. Left untreated, they are progressive. We offer the full spectrum of minimally invasive varicose vein treatments, matched to each patient’s anatomy and disease pattern:

ClosureFast™ Radiofrequency Ablation — A catheter-based heat treatment that seals diseased veins from the inside. Performed under local anesthesia, with same-day discharge and rapid return to activity. One of the most established and widely performed vein procedures in the country.

Venclose™ RF Ablation — The latest generation of radiofrequency ablation technology, featuring dual heating lengths in a single catheter for greater versatility and efficiency. Now available at ORVAC.

VenaCure EVLT™ Laser Ablation — Endovenous laser ablation uses targeted laser energy to close diseased veins. An excellent alternative to RF ablation for certain vein anatomies, with comparable outcomes.

VenaSeal™ — A medical adhesive is used to close the diseased vein — no heat energy, no tumescent anesthesia injections required. An ideal option for patients who prefer to avoid the numbing process or have sensitivity to anesthesia.

Varithena® Foam Sclerotherapy — A specially formulated microfoam is injected into the diseased vein, causing it to collapse and seal. Effective for a wide range of varicose vein anatomies including tortuous veins that can be difficult to treat with thermal ablation.

Ambulatory Phlebectomy — Minimally invasive removal of surface varicosities through tiny micro-incisions. No stitches required. Often performed in combination with an ablation procedure to address bulging surface veins.

Sclerotherapy — Injectable liquid or foam treatment for smaller varicose veins and reticular veins. A time-tested, effective solution for veins that don’t require thermal ablation.

Spider Vein Treatments

Spider veins — the fine, web-like red and purple vessels that appear near the skin’s surface — are among the most common cosmetic concerns we treat. While typically not medically dangerous, they can cause itching, burning, and significant self-consciousness.

Sclerotherapy — The gold standard for spider vein treatment. A sclerosing solution is injected directly into the vessel, causing it to fade and disappear over several weeks.

Excel® V Laser — Targeted laser energy precisely treats spider veins and vascular lesions at the skin’s surface without needles — an excellent option for patients who prefer a non-injection approach or for vessels too small to inject.

Our Arterial Treatments: Life-Changing Care for Serious Vascular Disease

Arterial disease is a different category of condition — and in many cases, a more serious one. When arteries become narrowed, blocked, or diseased, the consequences can range from chronic limb pain to stroke to amputation. Our arterial treatment capabilities represent some of the most advanced minimally invasive care available anywhere in the region.

Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)

Peripheral artery disease occurs when the arteries supplying blood to the legs become narrowed or blocked by plaque buildup — a process called atherosclerosis. Symptoms include leg pain or cramping with activity, wounds that won’t heal, and in advanced cases, rest pain and tissue loss.

PAD is significantly underdiagnosed. Many patients attribute their symptoms to aging or arthritis and don’t seek evaluation. Left untreated, it can lead to limb-threatening ischemia.

We treat PAD through a combination of:

Angioplasty and Stenting — A balloon catheter opens the narrowed artery and, where appropriate, a stent is placed to keep it open. Performed through a tiny access point, typically at the wrist or groin, without open surgery.

Arterial Atherectomy — A catheter-based device physically removes plaque from the inside of the artery — an approach particularly effective for calcified lesions and vessels where stenting is not ideal.

Limb Salvage

Limb salvage is Dr. Stout’s signature area of expertise and one of the most impactful services we provide. For patients with critical limb ischemia — severely reduced blood flow causing non-healing wounds, gangrene, or imminent amputation — expert revascularization can mean the difference between keeping and losing a limb.

Dr. Stout is the only board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon in Northwest Arkansas, and her expertise in limb salvage represents a capability that simply was not accessible in this region before she joined our practice. Patients who would previously have required transfer to a major center for this level of care can now receive it close to home.

Carotid Artery Disease

Carotid artery stenosis — narrowing of the arteries that supply blood to the brain — is a leading cause of stroke. Many patients have no symptoms until a stroke occurs. We offer carotid evaluation and treatment, including intervention for patients with significant stenosis identified through screening or referral.

May-Thurner Syndrome

May-Thurner Syndrome is a frequently overlooked condition in which the right iliac artery compresses the left iliac vein, causing restricted blood flow, chronic leg swelling, and significantly elevated risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT). It disproportionately affects women and is commonly misdiagnosed as general venous insufficiency. Treatment involves Deep Venous Stenting to relieve the compression and restore normal venous flow.

Aneurysms & Occlusive Disease

Aortic and peripheral aneurysms — abnormal bulging of arterial walls — require careful monitoring and, when indicated, intervention before rupture. We evaluate and manage aneurysms and occlusive arterial disease with the full range of diagnostic and interventional capabilities.

Our Interventional & Embolization Procedures

One of the things that truly distinguishes Ozark Regional Vein & Artery Center in the NWA market is our breadth of embolization and interventional procedures — catheter-based treatments that use the vascular system as a roadway to address conditions throughout the body, without surgery.

Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE) — A breakthrough minimally invasive treatment for chronic knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. By reducing blood flow to the abnormal vessels driving knee inflammation, GAE delivers lasting pain relief without surgery or joint replacement. A genuine alternative for patients who’ve exhausted conservative options and aren’t ready for a knee replacement.

Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization — A non-surgical, catheter-based treatment for internal hemorrhoids that reduces arterial blood flow to the hemorrhoidal tissue — eliminating the need for traditional hemorrhoid surgery and its associated recovery.

Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE) — A highly effective, minimally invasive alternative to hysterectomy for women with symptomatic uterine fibroids. UFE cuts off blood supply to fibroids, causing them to shrink and symptoms to resolve — preserving the uterus and eliminating the recovery demands of major surgery.

Plantar Fasciitis Embolization — An emerging treatment for chronic, treatment-resistant heel pain. By targeting the abnormal blood vessels that drive chronic plantar fasciitis pain, embolization offers a non-surgical path to lasting relief for patients who have tried everything else.

Mediport Procedure — Placement and management of implanted vascular access ports for patients requiring long-term intravenous medication administration, including chemotherapy. A critical supportive care service for oncology patients in our community.

Our Vascular Imaging Capabilities

Accurate diagnosis is the foundation of effective vascular treatment. Our in-house vascular imaging services include duplex ultrasound evaluation of the venous and arterial systems — the same technology used to map venous reflux, assess arterial flow, screen for aneurysms, and guide minimally invasive procedures in real time.

Having imaging capabilities in-house means faster diagnosis, tighter coordination between imaging and treatment, and a more seamless experience for patients.

We also offer periodic arterial screening events — including ABI (Ankle-Brachial Index) assessment, Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound, and Carotid Artery Ultrasound — at significantly reduced cost. Do I need a referral to be seen at ORVAC?

What is limb salvage and who needs it?
Limb salvage refers to the use of vascular intervention to restore blood flow and prevent amputation in patients with critical limb ischemia — a severe form of peripheral artery disease. Dr. Stout, the only board-certified vascular and endovascular surgeon in NWA, leads our limb salvage program. Patients with non-healing wounds, gangrene, or rest pain should seek evaluation urgently.

What embolization procedures do you offer?
We offer Genicular Artery Embolization (knee pain), Hemorrhoid Artery Embolization, Uterine Fibroid Embolization, and Plantar Fasciitis Embolization — a range of catheter-based, non-surgical treatments that address conditions throughout the body using interventional radiology expertise.
